These terms cover the game Her Trees: A Forgotten House and this website. By playing the game or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop using them, and delete the app.
Who you are agreeing with
Her Trees: A Forgotten House (com.hertrees.game) and this website are published by VTCODE.
Anything in this document that is unclear, or that you think is wrong, can be raised at info@hertreespuzzles.com. That address is read by a person.
What you may do with the game
You are given a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and play the game on devices you control, for as long as the store you bought it from keeps your licence active.
You are not given ownership of it. The story, the artwork, the music, the code and the name remain ours.
You may not:
- sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the game or any part of it;
- publish modified builds, cracked copies or reuploads to other stores or file hosts;
- reverse engineer or decompile it, except as far as the law expressly allows you to;
- strip out or alter the credits, the copyright notice or the store licensing checks.
Recording, streaming and writing about the game are all fine, including with advertising on your channel. You do not need to ask. Please do not present the story as your own work.
Money and advertising
The game is free to download and carries advertising served by Google AdMob, requested as non-personalised. There are two places it appears, and none when the app opens: one full-screen ad on the way into each new chapter from the sixth onwards — the first five carry none — and an optional video you may choose to watch in exchange for a hint, up to twice in a run.
The game sells consumable packs of coins, which are spent on hints. There is no subscription. Everything the game asks you to do can be done without buying anything; coins buy help, not progress.
If what is sold changes, this section changes in the same release, and so does the privacy policy.
Purchases and refunds are handled entirely by Apple and by Google under their own terms. We cannot issue, refuse or see a refund; the store you bought from is the only place that can.
Your save is on your device
Progress is written to the device and nowhere else. There is no account and no cloud save.
This means deleting the app, resetting the device or losing it deletes the save with it, and we cannot restore it, because we never had a copy. Nothing in this section is a limitation we can lift on request.
The community pages
This website carries a forum where readers can post about the story. Anything you post there stays yours.
By posting, you give us permission to store your post and show it to other readers of this site, and to remove it. That permission is limited to running the forum; we will not sell your posts or put them in an advertisement.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. The community rules are part of these terms and are set out on their own page.
Threads may give away the ending of the game. That is the nature of the place, and it is signposted; read at your own risk.
What we may do
We may remove any post, close any thread, and refuse further access to anyone who breaks the community rules.
We may change the game, the site, or these terms. When the change matters, the date at the top of this page moves and the new text is here before it takes effect. Carrying on using the game or the site after that is how you accept the new version.
We may stop offering the game or take the site down. If that happens, a build you have already installed is yours to keep playing for as long as it runs; it needs no server.
No promise that it always works
The game and the site are provided as they are. We do our best, and we do not promise that either is free of faults, available without interruption, or fit for any particular purpose beyond being a game about a house.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost time, lost progress, lost data. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else a consumer cannot be asked to sign away.
If you are a consumer, you keep every right consumer law gives you, and nothing in this document takes any of them away.
Age
The game tells a story about a disappearance and the people who covered it up. It is not written for young children.
If you are under the age at which you can agree to a contract where you live, use the game and the site only with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam, and the courts of Vietnam have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
