Community Rules

Last updated

The community pages exist so people can work out what happened in that house together. These are the rules that keep them worth reading. They are part of the Terms of Service.

Spoilers

Assume every thread spoils the ending. That is what the forum is for, and warning readers is the site’s job, not yours.

What is asked of you is smaller: put what a thread is about in its title. “The locket” tells someone on chapter four to come back later. “READ THIS” tells them nothing.

How to disagree

Argue with the reading, not with the reader. Two people can finish this game with opposite ideas about who was lying, and both can be arguing in good faith.

No harassment, no pile-ons, no following someone from thread to thread.

What is not allowed

Posts are removed, and access withdrawn, for any of these:

  • threats, or wishing harm on anyone;
  • attacks on someone for their race, nationality, religion, disability, gender or sexuality;
  • sexual content, and absolutely anything sexualising a minor;
  • anyone’s private information — a real name, an address, a workplace, a phone number — including your own;
  • pretending to be someone else, including us;
  • links to cracked copies, key generators or reuploaded builds;
  • advertising, referral links and repeat posting of the same thing.

Language

Vietnamese and English are both welcome, in the same thread if that is how the conversation goes. Nobody has to apologise for their English, and nobody should be told to switch.

Reporting

Every post has a report control. Use it for the things above, not for an opinion you dislike.

A report does not hide a post by itself. That is deliberate: hiding on a count is a button for brigading, and it removes exactly what a moderator needs to see. Reports are read by a person, and a person decides.

What happens when a rule is broken

Usually the post is removed and that is the end of it. Repeatedly, or once badly enough, and the account loses access.

If you think a decision was wrong, write to info@hertreespuzzles.com and say which post and why. That is an appeal, and it will be read.
